St. Augustine Florida – Hotels, Restaurants and Beach Park

A Trip to St. Augustine Florida – Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites St. Augustine, Columbia Restaurant and Anastasia State Park

After visiting more than 40 United States, I believe that I found a hidden gem. The city is called St. Augustine, Florida. What a beauty! This is the
oldest city in the U.S. and I had no clue. First time I stopped by this gorgeous place was on the way to Key West, Florida and once seeing this historical
city, I had to come back.

Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest times to visit St. Augustine,Florida

which I found out later after arrival. After a long and heavy research, I
decided to book a room in Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites St. Augustine-Hist. District which is located on 1302 North Ponce De Leon Blvd.
The location is perfect because I was right next to downtown but prices and traffic were a lot nicer than the downtown itself.
As I walked it to the hotel, they had a beautiful water dispenser with strawberries in it. As a water hog, this was such a nice touch. Staff was
exceptionally friendly and manager notified us that all their rooms have been recently remodeled. When I got to the room, I didn’t snap a photo because we
were rushing to get to our reservation but you can see it on their website.

Columbia Restaurat Saint Augustine Florida
For dinner, we made reservations 3 weeks prior because Columbia Restaurant is the oldest place to eat and food is delicious. To make a reservation, you can call (904) 824-3341 and this is for St. Augustine location. The best part about this place is the beauty inside the restaurant. It made us feel that we were visiting a historical European Place. Second best is of course their Sangrias. Go ahead and get yourself a pitcher and enjoy the night!

Anastasia State Park Saint Augustine

The next day to jog off all the calories we consumed from Columbia Restaurant, we went to explore Anastasia State Park, known as “Paradise near historic St. Augustine”. This park is a National Gold Medal Winner and you must see it if you are visiting. Anastasia Park is perfect for walkers, joggers, anglers, birders and nature-lovers. Quality beach breaks and seasonally warm water draw surfers and kayakers. You can hike the beach and look for birds, dolphins and whales.

There is so much to do in Saint Augustine, Florida and numerous historical places to see including St. Augustine free winery. By the way, I just signed up for a Wine Club. If that’s something you like, you can visit here: Gold Medal Wine Club.
