Old Barn Restaurant is located 12 minutes from Troy, Alabama. If you live in Montgomery, Enterprise or Troy areas this is the best steak restaurant you will find. In 2015 Old Barn Restaurant was rated as “Best Steaks in Alabama”. Over 12,000 nominations were submitted and the final four restaurants were then visited anonymously by a panel of industry judges during the month of September. Each finalist’s ribeye steak was judged on overall taste, tenderness and juiciness. I felt privileged to live close to this gem and drove on a Thursday night to try for myself.
Upon entrance to Old Barn Restaurant, we got lucky to get the last table available and families after us had to wait around 20-30 minutes. For a food like this, I am willing to camp out all night. Old Barn Restaurant had a country band performing that night which made the experience enjoyable and fun. This country gem is the pure definition of southern hospitality. Our waitress brought complimentary fresh biscuits and of course we asked for extra. She waitress was attentive and professional, checked on us constantly and refilled drinks with a smile.
I opted in for ribeye steak with sides of asparagus and sweet potato fries. When our meal came out, I stopped talking and just indulged in flavor. It is challenging to find the best steakhouse in Troy, AL area but if you are visiting this area on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you must drive couple of miles to eat. Another famous dish here is ribeye and quail, that is going to be my next item on the menu to try.
Old Barn’s address is: Co Hwy 61, Goshen, AL 36035 and Phone:(334) 484-3200. I saved Old Barn’s Restaurant menu for your convenience and I cannot wait to hear about your steak experience in Troy, AL area.
